CRRC Ziyang Co Ltd has manufactured more than 6,000 locomotive units over the past 50 years, including 1,000 diesel locomotives supplied to 31 countries across Asia, Africa, North America and Australia.

The company’s national-level technology centre has passed ‘China National Laboratory’ accreditation, which is a national first-level measurement organisation. In addition, the company has passed ISO: 9001 quality management system version 2015, ISO: 14000 environmental management system, and occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) 18000 certification.
CRRC Ziyang is dedicated to diesel locomotive research and development (R&D) and manufacturing. It has an annual manufacturing capacity of 300 units of various types of locomotives, including mainline diesel, shunting diesel between 300hp and 6,500hp, as well as standard gauge (1,435mm), narrow-gauge (1,000mm; 1,067mm) and broad gauge (1,520mm; 1,676mm) with axle load from 10t to 25t.
We can meet all requirements of the rail transit market with an extensive range of power, axle load and configurations of diesel locomotives.
CRRC Ziyang has manufactured HXD1, HXD1B and HXD1C electric locomotives according to modularisation, standardisation and serialisation requirements, with an annual capacity of 200 units of various electric locomotives.
CRRC Ziyang has been focusing on the development of diesel locomotives with the capacity for multiple series and various types of units. We are committed to the development of new energy rail transit equipment, establishing different power levels of hybrid locomotive platforms.
The company has developed CKD6E5000 hybrid locomotive, HXN6 hybrid locomotive, pure battery rail car and new energy hanging monorail train.
With extensive experience in exported locomotive products, CRRC Ziyang has developed its own diesel multiple unit (DMU) technology while considering specific environmental and geographic requirements of customers worldwide.
The inter-city DMU is suitable for high-temperature, heavy wind, sand, salt mist and high humidity environments with speeds ranging from 80km/h to 120km/h. With a different power range, these DMUs have been demonstrated as fast, comfortable and reliable with high availability. They are suitable for our customers in Africa and South-East Asia.
CRRC Ziyang also provides various services in addition to the sales of locomotives. These include various maintenance services such as daily maintenance, auxiliary repair, minor or medium repair, overhaul, and refurbishment and reconstruction for domestic and foreign clients.
CRRC Ziyang manufactures Chinese national standard crankshafts with a base for large and medium-sized continuous grain-flow forged steel crankshaft export. A total of 3,000 crankshafts are manufactured every year, occupying 50% of the domestic market share in marine engine crankshafts.

CRRC Ziyang has expanded into the EPC of integrated power plants, realising the entire contracting process. This includes initial project planning, infrastructure site selection, manufacture and installation of equipment, as well as on-grid adjustment and testing with customer support for resource utilisation.
In addition, we have expanded our solid waste energy conversion projects with the adoption of advanced technology. Compared to traditional solid waste treatment, our technology offers hazard-free treatment, minimisation and recycling of solid waste treatment without environmental pollution.
