The global rail transit industry is undergoing positive and profound changes.

Since the 1980s, the problem of rising global temperature has aroused widespread concern. On 12 December 2015, the Paris Climate Change Conference adopted the Paris Agreement, which set the goal of ‘limiting the rise of global average temperature to less than 2°C over the pre-industrial period, and striving to limit the rise of temperature to less than 1.5°C’. Since the signing of the Paris Agreement, more and more countries have pledged to achieve net-zero emissions by the mid-21st century. Carbon peak and carbon neutral became a consensus, and a new round of industrial revolution and energy revolution has come. There is no doubt that the global rail transit industry will also adapt to the historical current and stride forward in the direction of energy conservation, emission reduction, and intelligent manufacturing.

It is the social responsibility of every rail transit equipment enterprise to protect the environment in which human beings live and create green products. As the pioneer of China’s domestic electric hybrid green locomotive, CRRC Ziyang Co., Ltd. regards environmental protection as its responsibility and actively responds to the call of building in a way that is ‘resource-saving and environment-friendly’. In 2005, we began to research and demonstrate the power of locomotive hybrid technology, and committed to providing green, healthy, and comfortable rail transit products for global customers. CRRC Ziyang took the lead in carrying out research in the field of clean energy for locomotives in China, and has accumulated a rich experience in the technology of hybrid locomotives. We have successively developed and manufactured hybrid locomotives of 1000kW and 2200kW. The world’s maximum power of 2200kW hybrid locomotive has achieved fuel consumption savings of 30% to 50%, reduced harmful emissions by 40% to 80%, and reduce the impact time of diesel engine noise by more than 80%.

Sicne the company was founded in 1966, we have been looking at the world, adhered to the road of international development, and became the leader of China’s internal combustion power products going abroad. In 1992, CRRC Ziyang’s diesel locomotive exported to Thailand and became the first commercial locomotive exported from China. Now, the company has exported more than 1000 diesel locomotive, which comprises 50% of China’s total exports of diesel locomotives. In terms of energy saving, emission reduction, and the intelligent manufacturing of rail transit, we grow together with customers from more than 40 countries and regions in Asia, Africa, America, Oceania, and Europe.
