Romanian rail operator Regiotrans SRL has started using International Fuel Technology’s (IFT) DiesoLiFT 10 system to increase the efficiency of its operating fleet and reduce emissions.

The DiesoLiFT 10 system improves the combustion process, increasing fuel lubricity, which provides detergency benefits and co-solves normal amounts of free water.

DiesoLiFT 10 is a proprietary surfactant-based fuel additive formulation for use with diesel fuel and biodiesel fuel blends, and needs only splash blending.

IFT expects that a number of additional rail operators in Europe will begin using the proprietary formulation in their fleets of locomotives this year.
