Optimised installation for rail and metro requirements
The compact IP65 encapsulated and ruggedized single-tech and multi-tech outdoor base stations have been optimised for use within rail and metro operations. They are equally suitable for tunnel installation and mounting outdoors directly on buildings or masts alongside the track or in stations, altogether saving significantly on installation costs. Additionally, the single-tech outdoor base station has gained EN 50121-4 certification.
DAMM Cellular Systems
Complete coverage and scalability
The fully IP-based technology used by DAMM TetraFlex digital voice and data communications solutions makes it possible to create integrated communications across multiple stations, logistics facilities, depots, maintenance facilities and centralised operational control centres. It also gives full flexibility in site and capacity expansions, even during operation.
Full availability guaranteed
The fully redundant components and system information combined with the intelligent decentralized network architecture guarantee 100% uptime. All information is constantly replicated to all sites in the network, allowing call and data traffic to continue uninterrupted if one or more sites lose connection with the rest of the network.
Fewer frequencies, same coverage and capacity
The DAMM MultiTech Outdoor Base Station BS422 was has the unique ability to enable adjacent base stations to share frequencies and create RF zones that are groups of synchronized coverage areas. This provides a solution that addresses the problems of frequency scarcity and costs by allowing operators to configure base stations to share frequencies and designate BS422s as repeaters.
Intuitive coordination of teams and groups
User-defined groups and staff teams can easily be defined and coordinated. The highly flexible voice communication services support individual simplex and duplex calls, group calls, telephony communications (PSTN) and more, always with crystal-clear voice quality, even in the noisiest areas. For emergency incidents, the system provides emergency calls, man-down facilities and override functions.
Total communications flexibility
The DAMM TetraFlex® Group Bridge enables group calls between any independent TETRA or analog networks, creating valuable interoperability between many different systems. The DAMM TetraFlex Group Bridge solution offers flexible connectivity between groups organized on different networks. Typical examples include group calls between military, police and other emergency units, or even between local, regional or national networks during catastrophes and other mission critical operations.
Easy interoperability and migration
The DAMM TetraFlex Network Bridge enables extension of existing TETRA networks from other suppliers, allowing individual and group communication across networks. The Network Bridge allows users to move between the existing TETRA network and the expansion provided by DAMM – in fact for the users it feels like one network that is offering the same kind of services as always.
Efficient data communications
DAMM TetraFlex data services provide data used for instance for vehicle-tracking systems, offering real-time timetable and journey information to customers, as well as for signalling control and status. It also enables SCADA and telemetry data to be used for reporting of alarms and failures or collecting data for improving operational performances. DAMM’s TetraFlex solution can also be used to provide ETCS level 2 over TETRA, making it an ideal solution for the rail industry.
Embedded software applications for increased operational performance
DAMM TetraFlex® Network Management provides a user-friendly and highly flexible tool for management, supervision and optimization of the DAMM TetraFlex Network consisting of DAMM single-tech and/or multi-tech products. Using DAMM’s voice and data recording and replay facility, it is possible to effortlessly reconstruct incidents and gather valuable statistics on operational performance.
