Significant works are also planned for Glasgow Central Station.

The area covered by the line comprises a large and significant proportion of the existing and future key business, investment and economic development focal points in the west of the City, the Edinburgh conurbation as a whole, as well as the wider East Central Scotland area.

Projects to date include refurbishment and retail schemes at Cannon Street, Victoria and Paddington Stations, and detailed examinations of Waterloo and Victoria Stations. We have also completed the detailed design phase of the modern facilities at station project in three regions and Quinquennial structural surveys in Great Western Region.
