AECOM, the leading global professional services consultancy, has announced the completion of the full integration of six European businesses under the AECOM brand name, and confirmed the management structure for the European geography of the firm.

The announcement completes the integration of Faber Maunsell, EDAW, ENSR, ERA Earth Tech and Savant into AECOM, marking the evolution of the firm into one of the leading players, in both European and global marketplaces, for the delivery of building engineering, transportation, design and planning, economics, architecture, water, environment, project/programme management, and energy consultancy.

Ken Dalton, AECOM’s chief executive for Europe, commented: “AECOM’s strategic global integration, carried out over the past two years, has significantly empowered the company. We can now apply collaborative excellence in engineering and design expertise to address the world’s pressing environmental and infrastructure needs, and to inform and shape the built environment.”

The new management structure sees Dalton leading AECOM’s 4,500 consultants working across the UK and Ireland, continental Europe and the CIS. The regional management team comprises Bill Hanway managing director for the UK and Ireland; Chris Hartfield, managing director for the EU; and David Whitehouse, managing director for the CIS. AECOM in Europe can connect to the full capability and resources of 44,000 staff globally to ensure that our clients receive the best ideas, innovation, and delivery of their projects.

Dalton said: “The company culture is driven by a passion for developing sustainable solutions in the projects we deliver and in our own operations. We combine our thinking and share our knowledge to develop creative and effective solutions for our clients. As a client-facing organisation, we have structured a pan-European business model that allows AECOM experts, whatever their skill, to work locally, and globally, to the benefit of the project as well as our business.

These are exciting times for AECOM. With our new structure, AECOM is well placed to capitalise on its extensive range of capabilities, offering clients an even broader array of integrated services and improved access to both local and global expertise and technologies.”
