AECOM has made a number of new appointments to its rail engineering team, as part of its recent global rebranding programme.

One of the world’s leading engineering consultancies, AECOM has a wealth of international experience in a wide-range of rail disciplines, such as network and systems enhancements, operations, infrastructure maintenance, rail engineering, and policy and strategy. These appointments will enable us to bring our knowledge to the UK market, ensuring that we can provide cost-effective and innovative solutions and add significant value to our client’s work.

Iain Court joins as director, bringing with him 25 years of experience, specialising in overhead line design and construction, project management, general construction, civil engineering and permanent way. He will be taking on the role of project director for new commissions and working closely with Network Rail, TfL and contractor clients to deliver multi-discipline rail projects. Iain was previously a director at White Young Green Rail.

James Howles comes to AECOM as a project manager with a particular focus on Network Rail enhancements. He has significant experience in both the Network Rail and London Underground environments, and prior to joining AECOM James gained significant project experience within both the consulting and construction areas of the rail sector.

Pak-kin Tse is an associate director, with responsibility for business development and project delivery of a range of rail-related projects including major stations, the DDA programme, property framework, and property developments in a rail environment. Pak has nearly 40 years’ experience in the design and project management of major civil and structural engineering projects in the UK and Hong Kong, and specialises in infrastructure developments and rail related projects.

In addition, Jon Hall joins as regional director and Joel Martin and Moray Sinclair as senior engineers, bringing with them an extensive understanding of detail design in rail structures and bridges.
