TE Connectivity (TE) will present its unified connectivity and sensor solutions designed for smart trains and connected railways at InnoTrans in Berlin, Germany, 18-21 September.

Visitors to TE’s stand 201 in Hall 6.2 will see a variety of connectivity and sensor solutions that are optimizing rail systems for greater reliability and increased safety. TE solutions help improve passenger experiences with high-performing, high-demand power supplies, sensors and connectivity components for long-lasting, always-on, no-fail applications in increasingly connected trains.

A highlight of TE’s stand is the demonstration of its next-generation roofline systems for all operation environments, combining reliable operation with low profile and lightweight design. Other topics include:

  • Revolutionising transportation
In the quest to engineer a new mode of transportation, TE is a partner of rLoop, providing the team with engineering expertise, sensors and connectivity solutions to power the technology, and a home in Silicon Valley.
  • Driving speed in rail networks
TE offers the full scope of Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat7 data cables spanning 120 Ohm up to 10 Gb/s for use on board and trackside applications with corresponding M12 and M12 X Code connector series for data and sensor networks, train door control and HVAC systems.
  • Reducing weight and space while increasing capacity
Designed according to the latest European standard EN50467, the DEUTSCH FXP Series connector can be used for all static and dynamic power applications on rolling stock, in a small lightweight design and with higher electrical capacity.
  • Modularity customising to your sensor needs
TE’s Modular Sensor Design Program will be on display. The programme is suitable for any railway vehicle (high speed train, locomotive, EMU / DMU, metro, tramway and trolleybus) and application (propulsion, brake control and signaling).

In addition, TE will share information on the recent acquisition of the ENTRELEC terminal block business from ABB.
