ICON Multimedia to Install Communication System on Metro Medellín

The DENEVA communication system will be installed on the Medellín Metro, working with Colombia-based Grupo Union.

The contract is part of the smart mobility projects of the city, to achieve technological transformation in the intermodal transport area.

ICON Multimedia’s solution will be installed in all metro stations in Medellin, and will include the upgrade of the same platform already installed in the tram and cable network of Ayacucho.

Deneva will be integrated as part of the Citizen Information Center (CIC). Through large screens located in the stations, it will show passengers real-time travel information, including traffic and incidents on the metro, news, weather forecast or social networks, as well as any other chosen communication.
