Irmie Impianti is an Italian plant engineering company with a worldwide presence in the production of energy, traction, transformation and distribution test benches. Irmie Impianti designs and manufactures a wide range of specialised equipment for testing, static power converters for testing and inspection, battery chargers, HV in AC and DC switchboards, and automation panels.

Test benches for the railway industry

The IRMIE Impianti bogie-running testing bench is able to work with both trailer and motor bogie for maximum speeds of 300km/hr. It is available with the following test features: vibration, temperature, noise, and current/ voltage test for motor bogies.

Irmie Impianti produces test benches for DC-type and asynchronous-type motors, and specifically motors of high traction power and auxiliary motors. The test benches are made of different configurations depending on type, serial or type tests, in compliance with international regulations. Irmie impianti also designs and manufactures complete solutions for electric motor departments.

Shore suppliers for rail and DC circuit breaker testing

Irmie Impianti creates shore supply that can cover a wide range of output voltages to meet all possible needs. These systems can be remotely controlled and are equipped with a control panel from which it is possible to take all the necessary information. The shore suppliers have a rated power ranging from 50kVA to 3MVA.

Irmie Impianti produces shore suppliers up to 6000A for the calibration of the DC circuit breaker. It is possible to program the current waveform in order to verify the operation of the switch in different test conditions. The device also lets you perform the calibration of the contact line protective relays. Through an industrial touch screen the operator has an easy interface for command and control, and is also able to record and store the test.

Brake test systems

Irmie Impianti provides different solutions for automatic brake testing to meet all the various needs occurring in this kind of test. Irmie Impianti supplies cabinets of reduced dimensions to be installed near the tracks, centralised brake test systems composed of several brake test modules, mobile brake test systems installed on a van, brake test systems on container particularly adapted for those who need a flexible installation and portable single coach brake test systems.
