Alstom Transport has ordered 48 auxiliary power converters for the Singapore Circle Line. The SMARTconverters will supply the vehicles based on Alstom’s Metropolis platform with an input voltage of 750 V DC and transform the input voltage into an output voltage of 3 x 400 V AC, 50 Hz, 127 kVA and 110 V DC, 27 kW. SMA will deliver the 48 SMARTconverters from September until the beginning of 2015.
