New business development engineer

Following the news of the launch of their subsidiary company in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in October 2014, Leroy Automation is pleased to announce that John Iwanic, Eng. has joined the firm as the company’s business development engineer for North American business.

John is a professional engineer who possesses an MBA with a concentration in International Business and brings more than 35 years of electrical and electronic industry experience in diverse roles in applications engineering, sales, marketing, product and project management.

For the past 20 years, John has been involved in the sales, business development, proposal and project management of leading-edge products and technology solutions for various companies, providing major sub-systems used onboard public mass transit passenger rail vehicles and at passenger rail stations.

John’s duties for Leroy Automation will encompass all sales, business development, commercial, product and project management support functions required to introduce and grow the North American business for Leroy Automation’s line of on-board vehicle control units, communication gateways and remote input/output modules for light rail, subway, commuter, intercity and high-speed passenger rail cars, as well as locomotives.

He will be responsible for all business activities with the major car builders, sub-system suppliers, system integrators, transit properties and consulting companies associated with the mass transit marketplace in Canada and the US.
