Vecow Releases ECX-1200/1100 Series Workstation for Rolling Stock Applications

Vecow has released its latest ECX-1200/1100 Series expandable fanless embedded system for a range of applications, including rolling stock.

Vecow ECX-1200/1100 Series expandable fanless embedded system has a fanless -40°C to 75°C operation temperature, workstation-grade system performance, system-oriented functions integration, flexible configurations, and rugged reliability.

It is a compact and flexible solution for edge computing, smart manufacturing, rolling stock, robotic control, traffic vision, deep learning and any real-time AIoT / Industry 4.0 applications.

The system is powered by workstation-grade six-core 8th generation Intel® Xeon® / Core™ i7 / i5 / i3 processor (Coffee Lake-S) with Intel® C246 chipset, Intel® UHD Graphics P630 / 630 supporting up to 4K resolution via DisplayPort, VGA and DVI-D interfaces, up to 64GB of two DDR4 memory.

It has excellent system performance embodied through USB 3.1 port (up to 10Gbps), PCIe 3.0 socket (8GT/s), SATA III socket (6Gbps) ideal for real-time seamless data transfer requirements, ECX-1200/1100 Series delivers 10% higher CPU and chipset performance over the embedded system based on Intel® Kaby Lake platform. More significantly, the figure of 200W power budget provided on PCIe / PCI slot is 125% higher than its predecessor.

Comprising six GigE LAN ports with four M12 IEEE 802.3at PoE+, ideal for space-constrained and harsh environments, two front-access 2.5in SSD trays, two SATA III guarded by software RAID 0, 1, the system has external SIM sockets enabling Wi-Fi / 4G / 3G / LTE / GPRS / UMTS seamless connectivity, six USB 3.1 sockets, four COM, PCIe / PCI slot with 200W power budget supported additional PoE+ card, PCI, 10GigE LAN, LAN Switch or LAN Bypass uses, M.2 and Mini PCIe expansions, 32 Isolated DIO.

It has 6V to 36V wide range power input with 80V surge protection, configurable ignition control, TPM 2.0 supported, EN50155 and EN50121-3-2 compliant, embodying optimal system-oriented integration.
