The Government of Queensland in Australia has signed construction contracts with Pulse to deliver the A$5.4bn ($3.8bn) Cross River Rail project in Brisbane.
The official signing follows the government selecting Pulse as a preferred contractor in April.

Pulse is a consortium comprising CIMIC Group companies, Pacific Partnerships, CPB Contractors and UGL. International companies DIF, BAM and Ghella are also part of the consortium.
The project works include 5.9km-long twin tunnels and four new underground stations, along with the construction of a 10.2km-long rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills.
Once completed, the Cross River Rail project will increase the capacity of railway infrastructure in South East Queensland.
It will enable authorities to run more trains across the SEQ public transport network, which is currently nearing its maximum capacity.

By GlobalDataQueensland Deputy Premier Jackie Trad said: “This project will create 7,700 jobs during construction, and we expect to see those jobs starting in the next couple of months.
“It means that we will be able to slash travel times and increase service frequency for commuters right across the south-east corner, from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast and out to Ipswich.
“Major construction will commence later this year as scheduled, starting with the demolition of the Roma Street Transit Centre.”
With the contract now signed, the Pulse consortium will be able to mobilise its workforces and establish site presence.
Construction works are expected to be completed by 2024, following which a detailed commissioning and testing programme will commence.
