Freight and transit rail solutions provider RailComm has selected ThingWorx application platform to support its machine-to-machine (M2M) and industrial internet applications.

Apart from building its data analytics on existing rail control and device management technology, the platform will also provide RailComm with a complete software development, runtime, and intelligence environment, as well as application building tools.

The platform will save time and enhance RailComm’s current and future customer-facing applications, while reducing additional development costs.

RailComm claims that its solutions automate an expanding network of connected rail devices and sensors that produce real-time information.
