P&O Ferrymasters has announced plans to add a fifth round service to the new freight rail link between Poznan and Rotterdam, which is expected to improve capacity along the line by almost 25%.

The increase in services is intended to address increasing customer demand and will see the addition of another train in both directions on Wednesdays, along with the usual four-day operations, which are operated by rail carrier LTE Netherlands.

The train service is operated in conjunction with Polish logistics company Erontrans and was initially launched four months ago.

It provides a connection between the CLIP terminal in Swarzedz-Poznan in Poland to Europoort in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

All cargoes delivered to Europoort are loaded onto P&O Ferries and subsequently transported to the UK.
