"Work will include the installation of a new platform canopy, lighting, customer information screens, station signage, help points, and CCTV."

"Our approved design will provide a greatly enhanced passenger experience for those using the station. The ticket office will be light and airy and the station will be fully accessible, with new lifts providing step-free access from street level."

The new Elizabeth line will pass through 40 stations from Reading and Heathrow in the west, through new twin-bore 21km tunnels to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.

When it opens in 2019, four services will serve the Acton Main Line station per hour, facilitating passengers to travel right through central London without the need to change trains.

The new ticket hall was designed by Bennetts Associates on behalf of Network Rail and will be located on Horn Lane.
