Hollysys Automation Technologies has been contracted to provide ground-based signalling systems and equipment for two high-speed rail lines in China.

With a top speed of 250km/h, the Guiyang-Guangzhou and Baiyun-Longli north high-speed rail lines are expected to be operated by the end of 2014 and mid-2015 respectively.

The total value of the contracts is RMB117.12m ($19.03m) and involves the delivery of train control centres, temporary speed restriction servers, line-side electronic units and other auxiliary equipments.

"In the future, Hollysys will continue to work closely with the China Railway Corporation and national railway authorities."

In order to ensure the safety and reliability of the high-speed railway operation, the systems will work together with the on-board signalling equipment automatic train protection.

The 857km Guiguang Line will comprise 21 stations and link Guiyang City and Guangzhou and the 54m-long Baiyun-Longli north line will connect Guiyang Baiyun District and Longli County.

Commenting on the contract, Hollysys management said: "In the future, Hollysys will continue to work closely with the China Railway Corporation and national railway authorities.
