US-based Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) in India.

HTT will develop a hyperloop route from Andhra Pradesh state’s new capital city Amravati to Vijayawada via a public private partnership.

The project is intended to reduce the journey time between the two cities from more than an hour to just six minutes.

HTT will carry out a six-month feasibility study as part of the first phase of the project, and will also work with local stakeholders to establish various regulatory standards.
