TEX rail station - DFW

US construction firm Archer Western has secured a $28.5m contract to construct a new TEX rail station next to Terminal-B at Dallas Fort Worth International airport in Texas.

The station will be the last stop for TEX Rail, a 27-mile, commuter rail line, which will provide service from FortWorth city to the airport once construction is complete.

The station will feature a walkway that connects the existing Dallas Area Rapid Transit station adjacent to Terminal A of the airport.

Australia's Victoria Government has signed a partnership contract with Laing O’Rourke, Fulton Hogan and Jacobs to enable more trains on the Hurstbridge line, a suburban railway route in Melbourne.

The contract covers doubling the Hurstbridge line between Heidelberg and Rosanna with a new tunnel under Darebin Street next to the existing brick tunnel and reconstruction of Rosanna station.

Work will also include construction of a rail bridge over Lower Plenty Road located near the station. The new rail bridge will prevent disruptions caused to services from floods and will help protect hundreds of local trees.
