Alstom and RZD International have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop railway infrastructure projects.

The MoU includes the provision of technical consulting services, infrastructure project management and design of modern infrastructure facilities, in addition to quality assurance, knowledge exchange and quality control of construction works.

The transaction is expected to strengthen Franco-Russian relations in the economic, scientific and technical fields.

A subsidiary of Russian Railways, RZD International is currently involved in a major project for the modernisation of Serbia’s railway infrastructure.

Additionally, Russian Railways is developing technical requirements for high-speed trains that will be operated on the country’s high-speed lines.
