French multinational firm Alstom has received approval for its Coradia Lint 41 regional trains on the rail network of Poland.
The Alstom Coradia Lint is an environmental-friendly, low-consumption, diesel, multiple unit, which can reach a maximum operating speed of 140km/h.

Certification has also been secured in Germany and Czech Republic, meaning services can run cross-border between these countries.
The DB Regio trains will now run from Lübeck via Pasewalk to Szczecin, while the trains of Länderbahn will operate transnationally between Bavaria, Germany, and the cities of Cheb, Františkovy Lázne, and Aš in Czech Republic.
Alstom Europe senior vice-president Andreas Knitter said: "We are proud to have accomplished this major milestone. Our customers value and trust the experience we have built up over the last 16 years. This achievement shows again that our Coradia Lint withstands all European qualifications."
It is reported that more than 900 Coradia Lint trains have been ordered in total, with 750 already in operation.

By GlobalDataCarbody production is being carried out at Alstom’s site in Katowice, Poland, while the trains are built at the company’s Salzgitter plant in Germany.
Approval was also achieved for an additional four countries, Denmark, France, The Netherlands, and Canada.
