ITT’s Veam brand has showcased its new MOVE modular series for harsh environment rolling stock and railway infrastructure applications at InnoTrans 2018 in Berlin, Germany.

MOVE is a modular circular connector series that makes use of snap-in modules to provide several contact layouts to enable power, signal and data transfer in the same connector.

MOVE series will become available in 2019.

ITT Veam global sales and marketing vice-president Anh Phan said: “For the last 60 years, ITT Veam has provide our customers with reliability and durability, while innovating new solutions for every aspect of the rail industry, from the railroad to the locomotive to the passenger car, and everything in between.

“Our new MOVE product is no exception. We are excited to be previewing this leading-edge modular technology at InnoTrans.”

MOVE series bring in time and cost efficiencies due to minimised component requirements; enable tool-less assembly and easy installation; and offer flexibility with a variety of contact layouts.
