Network Rail has awarded a £40m contract to Balfour Beatty for the operation and maintenance of its track maintenance machines, known as Stoneblowers.

The contract is scheduled to run for four years and will see Balfour Beatty provide maintenance services across the UK.

Additionally, Ove Arup & Partners International is set to collaborate with Arup Associates and Wilkinson Eyre Architects to work on the detailed design of the Birmingham Interchange.

Old Oak Common station will be developed by WSP, along with Wilkinson Eyre Architects.

The contract for the redevelopment of London Euston station has been awarded to Ove Arup & Partners International and Grimshaw Architects.

The new stations are scheduled to open for passenger services in 2026.
