Caledonian Sleeper’s carriages have completed their test run to London Euston ahead of their roll-out later this year.
In its first test run, a train composed of 16 carriages ran from Scotland to London.

Rail operator Serco is scheduled to introduce the Caledonian Sleeper fleet for overnight rail service by the end of May.
Serco Caledonian Sleeper managing director Ryan Flaherty said: “Caledonian Sleeper will undergo a huge transformation in 2019 and we are now entering the final stages of our testing and approvals programme.
“Bringing our new carriages into London Euston for the first time is an exciting landmark for the team, and we cannot wait until they are arriving and departing from the station six nights a week.”
The new Caledonian Sleeper fleet was manufactured with an investment of more than £100m, which includes a £60m Scottish Ministerial grant.

By GlobalDataThe carriages were designed to suit the requirements of both business and leisure travel passengers.
They feature multiple accommodation options, including comfort seats, double bed suites with en-suite bathrooms, single or twin club rooms with en-suite bathrooms, and solo or twin rooms.
Additionally, the trains also feature special fully accessible rooms for passengers with reduced mobility.
All the carriages will offer charging panels, Wi-Fi services and hotel-style key card entry system facilities.
Initially, the Caledonian Sleeper fleet will operate on the Lowlander route running between Glasgow/Edinburgh and London. Subsequently, the train services will be rolled out onto the Highlander serving Fort William, Aberdeen and Inverness.
