Rail software and technology company OnTrac has signed a five-year agreement with the UK’s Transport for London (TfL) to supply rail safety products.

Under the terms of the contract, OnTrac will deliver its entire eRailHub suite to streamline planning and delivery work on the Elizabeth line.

TfL Elizabeth line maintenance and access planning manager Hayley Child said: “OnTrac has worked closely with our team to understand our specific needs and adapt their existing products to deliver our requirements and we are looking forward to having a simple-to-use system.

“The attitudes and behaviours of the OnTrac team are exactly what is needed to turn around changes quickly.”

The RailHub suite comprises multiple components, including SWP and ePIC, and will offer remote access to packs deployed on site. Both the components will be modified to fulfil the specific requirements of the Elizabeth line.

“The attitudes and behaviours of the OnTrac team are exactly what is needed to turn around changes quickly.”

Other suite components such as National Hazard Directory, Work Package Plans and Task Briefings and Access Points will also be utilised by TfL.

TfL will also adopt OnTrac’s schematics on-demand solution eTrac-GIS, a geospatial digital mapping platform for the railway industry. Besides conventional usage, TfL plans to use eTrac-GIS as a possession planning tool.

OnTrac chief technical officer Mark Atkinson said: “The rail industry is already seeing the benefits of RailHub and eTrac-GIS.

“We’re excited to see how the Elizabeth line will benefit from using eTrac-GIS as a possession planning tool and will be looking to see how we can adapt our products in future, to continue benefitting the rail industry.”

Owned by Tracsis, OnTrac is engaged in the development and supply of software solutions to digitise and streamline workflows across the rail industry.
