Skanska has been awarded a NKr1.36bn ($241m) contract by Norwegian National Rail Administration (Jernbaneverket) to build a double track railway on the Vestfold Line.
The Vestfold Line will facilitate the smooth flow of traffic between Drammen and Porsgrunn, and provide better communication facilities to the area around the Oslo Fjord.
The new rail track will also allow trains to run at a speed up to 250km/hr in the future.
Under the contract, the company will carry out the station project, which covers a 2,370m tunnel and the construction of the 866m station hall.
Skanska will also complete the Fibo project, which includes the 1,930m-long main tunnel.
The project is expected to be completed by December 2015.
