Teleste has announced the signing of a framework agreement to install its systems on-board Alstom trains.
The agreement is an extension of a co-operation deal signed earlier in the year between the two companies, which outlined the delivery of on-board systems for more than 100 Alstom trains.
The installation of Teleste’s on-board systems will enable Alstom to provide passengers with precise real-time travel information.
Teleste is a Finland-based technology provider, while Alstom is a French rail transport equipment and services company.
Ansaldo STS will develop a proof of concept for a new Dynamic Headway solution for use on the Copenhagen Metro M1 / M2.
The company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the system with Metroselskabet.
The solution will be developed using Ansaldo’s train control technologies and Hitachi’s digitalisation systems, and is intended to help identify congestion using sensors fitted at stations, as well as facilitate the automatic adjustment of the frequency of train services.
Ansaldo is an Italian transportation company, while Metroselskabet is the Copenhagen metro authority.
