A consortium comprising WSP Engineering Malaysia, Mott MacDonald Malaysia, and Ernst & Young Advisory Services has secured a contract for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail (HSR) project from MyHSR of Malaysia and Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore.
The consortium will provide project management support and technical advice on HSR systems and operations, develop the technical and safety standards for project execution, and assist the project team in preparing tender documents.
The HSR is a strategic project between the governments of Malaysia and Singapore that will enable travel times of 90-minutes between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. It is targeted for delivery by the end of 2026.
Alstom has partnered with global technology company CoSMo to develop a new application that would improve the efficiency of rail systems.
Based on CoSMo’s software platform, the new application will leverage Alstom’s experience in rail operations. The partnership will also utilise CoSMo’s background in asset investment optimisation and decision management. Once launched, the new system is intended to benefit rail system owners and infrastructure managers worldwide.
Alstom intends to design better transport networks and meet higher performance and service quality standards using the new application.
