Rail depot equipment specialist, Mechan, will be turning the spotlight on its flagship lifting jacks at the world’s largest transport trade fair in September.
For the first time, visitors to this year’s InnoTrans exhibition in Berlin, Germany, will be able to see the Sheffield manufacturer’s eye-catching equipment in action.
A full size working jack will form the centrepiece of Mechan’s display and will demonstrate its innovative Megalink control system, which allows an unlimited number of units to be linked together and operated in perfect synchronicity.
From 20-23 September, the heavy lifting experts will be based in InnoTrans’ British Pavilion on stand 206E, hall 2.2. The event, held bi-annually at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, attracts thousands of visitors from across the globe and is recognised as the rail industry’s leading international trade show.
Richard Carr, Mechan’s chief executive, said: "Our jacks are a distinctive sight when they are lined up together in rail depots and we are sure the gigantic yellow structure will grab the attention of passers-by at InnoTrans. We are regular exhibitors within the British Pavilion and look forward to catching up with colleagues old and new again this year, to bring them up to date with our latest innovations."
Mechan’s jacks are suitable for all types of rail vehicle, including longer high speed trains and heavy on track plant. The firm also offers a wide range of under floor lifting systems, under car equipment, rail traversers, bogie lifting and storage, bogie presses and bogie / wheelset drops.
