Axiomtek Introduces the rBOX310-4COM Fanless Embedded System

Axiomtek, one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high-performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, is pleased to announce the release of the rBOX310-4COM, its new super-high performance din-rail fanless embedded system.

The rBOX310-4COM is equipped with the Intel® Atom™ processor N2800 1.86GHz and Intel® NM10 chipset. To fulfil the needs of connectivity, expansion and security, it supports wireless connections (3G/ GPRS or Wi-Fi), four COM ports, two isolated gigabit Ethernet, RTC battery function and two watchdog timers.

Furthermore, to withstand the extreme range of working temperatures, its unique thermal design ensures reliable operation in critical environments at temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C. The ready-to-run system, equipped with smart AXView monitoring software, is a total solution for power plant automation, facility monitoring systems, intelligent transportation systems, and more.

The robust rBOX310-4COM features rich I/O interfaces, four RS-232/422/485 ports, two isolated gigabit Ethernet ports, powerful storage interfaces, including one 2.5in SATA SSD (or HDD) and CompactFlashTM socket, as well as 12~48 VDC terminal block power input with two power paths for industrial use. In addition, the excellent power design reduces the running cost and fulfils the intelligent computing and communication solutions in critical environments.

Industrial-grade design

This compact system adopts an IP30-rated aluminium and steel enclosure. Its significant anti-vibration design can endure up to 5G, and its fanless and cabless design increases reliability, extends MTTR, and reduces maintenance efforts.

Safety and EMI/EMS compliance

The rBOX310-4COM meets Safety Agency requirements and has passed heavy industrial CE with FCC Part 18 testing; hence, the unit provides high operational reliability and stability.

RTC (real time clock) battery

The RTC battery (battery onboard and gold-capacity onboard) provides power for the internal real time clock and calendar and is ideally suited to vibration environment. In addition, the gold-capacity onboard would be first backup battery without consuming battery onboard when power shuts down, which reduces maintenance efforts.

Intelligent AXView and SNMP V1/V2c

The rBOX310-4COM comes with smart AXView software package for quick and easy startup, and has two watchdog timers for twice the security. Based on SNMP protocols, AXView makes it easy to manage and monitor remote computers for system administrators.
