LEROY AUTOMATION will present its smart TCMS and modular automation solutions for the rail industry at the InnoTrans 2016 international railway trade fair in a few weeks, from 20-23 September 2016.

Specialised in automation and embedded electronics, LEROY AUTOMATION is a partner of choice to accompany rolling stock manufacturers, subsystem integrators and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for advanced rail transit and challenging railway energy projects.

LEROY works hand in hand with major rolling stock manufacturers, such as ALSTOM and SIEMENS, and key electrification integrators, such as VINCI ENERGIES and KORAIL, on long-term basis to efficiently shape the future generation of sustainable mobility and urban transportation.

As the preferred automation supplier for international OEM and subsystem integrators LEROY’s engineering teams support rail operators and corporations for operational maintenance activities, fast turn-around repair services and pro-active obsolescence management as well as overhaul or modernisation projects for on-board TCMS and automation projects.

LEROY’s smart TCMS portfolio features high-performance, very modular and extremely reliable EN 50155-compliant components: multipurpose on-board vehicle control units (VCU), smart remote I/O modules (RIOM), and field communication gateways (SLG). Such components are programmable and configurable to meet the requirements of a wide variety of on-board rail applications, and will be demonstrated in proven TCMS architectures at their booth number 301-D5 located in Hall 3.2.

Based on optimised commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) IEC 61131-3 STRATON software development workbench, LEROY’s software application development strategy accelerates time-to-market and facilitates further enhancement software evolutions.

For advanced mission-critical subsystems, the ready-for-deployment SATURN fail-safe, fault-tolerant and highly available, selective I/O and diagnostic platform (co-designed with CLEARSY) is a programmable and configurable heterogeneous SIL0, SIL2 and SIL4-certified rail solution developed according to the most stringent CENELEC EN 50126, EN 50128: 2011 and EN 50129: 2003 standards. Assessed by independent safety assessors (ISA) of the renowned CERTIFER body, SATURN is a solution ideally suitable for innovative platform screen door, and level-crossing signalling systems.

Delivered with safety certificates, SATURN is a very cost-effective alternative for optimised SIL2/SIL4 automation safety systems without incurring the high costs and risks of the safety independent level (SIL) graded certification processes. Moreover, SATURN features innovations with the support of SIL0, SIL2 and SIL4 mixing and modular capabilities in a single and unique communication network.

Discuss and evaluate your next project opportunities during the InnoTrans exhibition at LEROY AUTOMATION’s booth number 301-D5 in Hall 3.2 to learn about advanced automation solutions for your next generation of on-board train control and management systems, signalling and electrical power substations.
