French train maker Alstom has launched its new Coradia Liner V200 mainline train at the European Mobility Exhibition for Public Transport in Paris.
The new train is intended to replace the current Intercity rolling stock Corail and operate on key routes, such as Paris-Clermont-Ferrand, Paris-Orléans-Limoges-Toulouse and Paris-Caen-Cherbourg.

This low-floor train with platform-height double doors uses roughly 30% less energy compared with the existing Corail and has the capacity to accommodate approximately 900 passengers.
Equipped with the European rail traffic management system, the Coradia Liner is compliant with European standards and can run on all conventional rail networks at a speed of 200km/h.
Based on the design of modular Coradia trains, the train features a distributed traction system, which allows greater coverage of the national territory without increasing travel time.
The Coradia Liner project has created over 4,000 jobs within Alstom and across the French rail sector.
