This is part of Abellio’s efforts to introduce the new pass system to eliminate the need for paper tickets and ticket machines.

The MultiPass mobile app helps commuters to record their journeys made on the MultiPass-enabled network. It will offer the summery of journeys and corresponding payments made using MultiPass app.

According to MultiPass, the new pass system aims to solve challenges such as the difficulty of navigating the UK’s vast array of ticketing options to get the best fares, and the need to have physical tickets.
