Protran designed and produced the new Roadway Worker Protection System (RWP) and Collision Avoidance System (CAS).

Systems are planned to be installed across all 400 of Denver’s Regional Transportation District (RTD) train units and provide support for track maintenance crews.
Protran’s Collision Avoidance System (CAS) will be installed on the district’s on-track equipment.
RTD Denver provides transportation to an estimated 2.8 million people, covering a total of 2,400 square miles in eight counties.
Set to begin shortly, installations are intended to be complete during the second half of the year.
