Greenbrier Companies has acquired a 19.5% stake in Bazil-based castings and components manufacturer Amsted-Maxion Cruzeiro.

This provides Greenbrier Companies a 35% direct and indirect ownership in the outstanding equity of Greenbrier-Maxion, which is co-owned by thw two companies.

The purchase consideration for the transaction was $10m.

Loram, Maintenance of Way has acquired UK-based rolling engineering and operating company RVEL for an undisclosed amount.

This move is an attempt by Loram to improve its presence in the UK and European markets.

Based in Minnesota in the US, Lorem will shortly start operating trains under its own brand in Derby in the UK.
