Bombardier CPC Propulsion System will supply Mitrac propulsion and control equipment to Beijing Mass Transit Railway Operation under a contract signed with the Chinese New United Group (NUG).
CPC is an equal partnership joint venture between Bombardier Transportation and NUG.
The Mitrac contract is the fourth signed by the joint venture for Chinese urban mass transit systems this year.
The total value of the four contracts is around CNY866m ($136m).
Under the contracts, the joint venture will supply propulsion systems to Beijing Metro Line 16, Shanghai Line 9, Shenzhen Line 7 and Tianjin Line 5.
The scope of the Beijing Metro Line 16 contract includes engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning and initial delivery of spare parts for traction converters.

By GlobalDataBombardier China president and chief country representative Jianwei Zhang said: "This latest order is one of our 11 public tenders won in China for propulsions and control equipment since 2014."
Under the 11 contracts won since 2014, the Bombardier joint venture will supply more than 2,500 metro cars equipped with Mitrac propulsion equipment.
The Mitrac (Modular Integrated TRACtion) system includes propulsion converters, traction drives and electronics.
Last week, Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation was awarded a $381m contract by China Railway to supply 15 CRH380D high-speed trains.
The eight-car trainsets, equipped with Mitrac propulsion system, and Eco4 technology, will run at speeds up to 380km/h.
The aluminum carbody cars will have VIP, first-class and second-class seats and a dining car. The trainsets will be manufactured at Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation production facilities in Qingdao, China.
