Switzerland-based Bauberger has moved more than 50 locomotives, trams and train wagons at the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne during the last two months.
The move is part of the special exhibition opened in March on the New Railway Link through the Alps NRLA.
As part of the special exhibition, the museum had decided to renovate the hall that had remained unchanged for 20 years.
The history of Swiss rail transport is documented at the large Rail Transport Hall at the Swiss Museum of Transport.
Around 35 locomotives, train cars and tram cars were moved internally in myriad single steps and more than 12 were placed in depots in Switzerland.
The movement of these items was carried out in collaboration with the foundation SBB Historic.

By GlobalDataFrom the Railway Transport Hall, the locomotives and cars were raised hydraulically at the lifting points and crossbars were inserted so that the vehicles were moved on tracks to their intended destination.
The front part of the hall is a pavilion from around 1957 and moreover, the ground is sinking because of the lake bottom.
Therefore, the hall floor was covered with sand and strengthened with 30mm thick steel plates in order to move all the vehicles with the help of special constructions and hydraulic jacks.
