Bombardier Transportation has secured a 30-year contract from Mosaic Transit Partners Maintenance GP (MTM) to provide maintenance services for the Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) project in Toronto.
Finch West LRT project is a public private partnership (PPP) of Mosaic Transit Group, Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx.
The contract requires Bombardier to offer maintenance services for a fleet of light rail vehicles and wayside track.
Furthermore, it will also look after the overhead catenary system assets for the new LRT line.
The new LRT line is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
Earlier, Mosaic had secured the contract to design, construct, finance and maintain the new LRT line, which will be fully integrated with the city’s current transit system.
