In the last five years, more and more national train operators demanded endurance vibration and shock testing of the rolling stock they are procuring. Since then the Original Equipment Manufacturers have started looking for test facilities that fulfil their testing needs but their need was only fulfilled partially.
Finding vibration test facilities that are capable of testing equipment of several tons seems practically impossible. This lack of facilities results directly in offering partially uncertified equipment although demanded by the national train operating companies.
