The RAIL.ONE Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of concrete sleepers and systems provider for railway tracks, will celebrate two anniversaries this year. The company can look back on 120 years since its foundation, as well as 60 years of experience in the development, manufacture and delivery of concrete sleepers and railway track systems. This makes RAIL.ONE one of the world’s most important and longest-established producers.

RAIL.ONE has been closely associated with the rail market for over 100 years. As part of the Pfleiderer Group founded in 1894, it focused originally on the production and impregnation of wooden railway sleepers. In 1954, the company began to manufacture pre-stressed concrete sleepers and continued to expand these activities through organic growth and targeted acquisitions. In April 2006, the Pfleiderer track systems business division became the independent RAIL.ONE.

With a new name and a history of quality, the now global company offers a broad range of railway track systems for both passenger transportation and freight and heavy load transport. Products and services range from pre-stressed concrete sleepers for ballasted tracks and ballastless track systems for high-speed routes to special solutions for high axle loads. Furthermore, RAIL.ONE is the only system designer and manufacturer which can offer four different production processes that can be individually adapted and optimised to the needs of the client.

"For more than 120 years, RAIL.ONE has developed into a leading provider of concrete sleepers and railway track systems. We are very proud of our history. Looking back at our successes and milestones also gives us impetus to move into the future with motivation," says Jochen Riepl, CEO of RAIL.ONE.

"In this anniversary year, we face new technological challenges, which we will embrace with enthusiasm in the interest of our clients. Always having an eye towards cutting edge technology and offering our customers innovative, tailored solutions are part of our tradition – a requirement for success in a constantly changing market environment. We look forward to RAIL.ONE’s next 120 years."
