Configurator for the CombiTac Modular Connector System now also Available as an App

Multi-Contact CombiTac Configuarator App

Multi-Contact customers have always used the company’s proven online Configurator when organising and selecting components for the modular CombiTac connector system.

Now, the Swiss connector specialists are presenting a mobile version of their highly practical tool, the CombiTac Configurator.

The app is compatible with iPads, running iOS 5.1.1 or higher, and is available to download free from the Apple App Store now. The CombiTac Configurator offers the same scope as the browser-based online Configurator, meaning an estimated six million different connectors can be assembled using your iPad. The application is available in English, French, and German. A version for tablets running Android and Windows 8 will be released in the very near future.

Thanks to the 104MB app, it is now also possible to work offline. Every configuration is saved temporarily and can be recalled at any time, meaning the CombiTac Configurator is always available. If you do have access to an internet connection, the selected configuration can be transferred straight to the Multi-Contact technical sales team in just a few steps. The team will then process the request in the usual prompt manner.

As Multi-Contact’s Martin Yiapanas explains: "Here at Multi-Contact, we recognised that tablet computers are an indispensable piece of equipment for development teams today. The CombiTac Configurator’s offline mode makes it the perfect companion for product developers across all sectors."

The CombiTac modular connector system allows the individual combination of power and control contacts, thermo-elements, and coaxial contacts, as well as fibre optic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and Ethernet contacts in a compact frame or casing. The electrical contacts are based on the proven MULTILAM technology, with performance characteristics guaranteed even after 100,000 mating cycles and more.

Multi-Contact connectors are used in module and medical technology, railway and transport technology, the automotive industry, industrial technology, automation and robotics, mechanical engineering, measurement, test, and control technology, as well as machine control systems.
