We Stand Up for Increased Safety and Reduced Wear

When train speeds are high, there are two crucial requirements: safety and minimal wear. Only perfectly maintained bogies ensure that these demands are met. This is where the most recent Schenck development comes into play: the first test stand using spindle technology.

With MULTIRAIL® BogieLoad, Schenck ensures safety through all-round inspection. Electromechanically designed, the bogie test stand inspects the bogie using the so-called spindle technology developed by Schenck. This novel feature increases repeatability and accuracy whilst reducing the maintenance expenditure.

A Novel Technology that Pays Off

How does the user benefit from spindle technology?

Here is the answer from the Schenck specialists: the new technology ensures a high degree of repeatability whilst reducing susceptibility to failure.

Positioning is more accurate. The automatic process with hauling equipment and fully automatic bogie centering eases the operation and provides added safety.

The remarkable accuracy upon RH/LH inspection is said to be another striking advantage.

All inspection parameters enable a high degree of repeatability to be achieved.

Below the line there are several factors that pay off: high accuracy, low fault liability and reduced maintenance cost.

BogieLoad Applications and Technical Data

The novel test stand technology of SCHENCK is used for the inspection of high speed train bogies. BogieLoad measures and acquires the wheel load distribution with the use of weighbeams. Geometrical data, e.g. axis parallelism, are among the additional measuring parameters. Typical application: bogies of high speed trains ICE 1, ICE 2, ICE 3, ET 420, ET 426.

Technical Data
