UniControls has, for its key spheres of activity (including traction drives, vehicle on-board control systems, passenger information systems and communication systems) successfully completed the certification process confirming conformity with the requirements of IRIS Rev.01. The IRIS certificate has been issued by one of the most renowned certification organizations, DQS.

UniControls has thus confirmed its leading position in the Czech Republic for control systems and electronics for rail vehicles, and opened the way for exceeding its export activities toward leading manufacturers of rail equipment.

The IRIS certification is fostered and supported by UNIFE (the Association of the European Rail Industry) and important firms in this field such as Bombardier Transportation, Alstom Transport, Siemens Transportation Systems and Ansaldo Breda. IRIS also complies with the specific requirements of the ISO 9001 international quality standard for the rail industry. IRIS makes relationships between component and system suppliers and manufacturers of rail vehicles more transparent by stating uniform rules to be observed by the suppliers in the rail industry. It is standard which only companies with a sophisticated quality system at all levels and in all activities can comply with.

To the date of issue of this report the IRIS certificate is held only by seven companies in the Czech Republic (of which four are firms with prevailing Czech capital). UniControls is the first firm in the Czech Republic which has met the IRIS requirements in sophisticated activities such as superior control of vehicles and trains, traction drives, passenger information systems, and communication systems. UniControls believes that this internationally accepted certification will increase its credit of a respected and reliable manufacturer and supplier among the most demanding business partners.
