Helsinki City Transport in Finland has selected Teleste’s S-AWARE platform in a bid to increase safety and situational awareness across the city’s metro system.

The Teleste S-AWARE platform is designed to improve operational efficiency, safety and security of public transportation, airports and other critical infrastructures.

It procures information from various associated subsystems, data sources and sensory inputs in real-time to provide a detailed and better understanding of all events, as well as facilitating the decision-making process.

Deployment of the S-AWARE platform across the metro system will bolster Helsinki City Transport’s response capabilities during emergencies, security and service failures.

The platform can be used to devise automated operating procedures for smart incident management. It will enable immediate corrective measures to address any unexpected incidents.
