The authorities provided the safety approval after inspecting the metro rail network’s civil works, track, viaduct, stations, signalling and train controls, telecommunication, rolling stock and other associated railway systems.

Speed trials were also conducted on the metro train for a three-day period during the inspection initiative.

L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad (LTMRHL), which was responsible for building the elevated metro rail project in the city, will now also complete the remaining minor works on the line.

LTMRHL managing director and CEO Shivanand Nimbargi said: “CMRS approval for the Stage 1 – Nagole to Mettuguda and Stage 2 – Miyapur to SR Nagar have already been authorised for commissioning.
