UAE-based Advance Rail (ARG) has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Dragados in Spain to carry out a number of railway projects as part of the Qatar Railways rail programme.
The joint venture aims to provide Qatar with access to international rail infrastructure and tunnelling expertise.

Through Dragados the JV will be able to utilise the resources and technical skills of their associated businesses, including Cobra and ACS Industrial.
The JV will initially focus on tunnelling opportunities related to the Doha Metro project, and on further expanding the relationship across the region to capitalise on the many rail opportunities therein.
