Xizi Otis Elevator (Xizi Otis) has secured three new rail projects in China to provide a total of 207 new elevators and escalators.

The new elevators and escalators will be installed at Chengdu Metro Line 10, Wuhan Metro Airport Line and the Guizhou West section of the Shanghai-Kunming Railway.

As part of the contract, Xizi Otis will deliver 82 elevators and escalators to Chengdu Metro Line 10, which will connect Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport with the city centre and existing metro network when it begins operation by the end of this year.

The deal will see Xizi Otis provide four Regen-M elevators, 23 high-efficiency Gen2 elevators and 55 XO21NP escalators to Line 10.

The company has already provided 500 elevators and escalators for Lines 1, 3 and 7 of Chengdu Metro.

In Wuhan, the company will deliver 87 elevators and escalators to the new Wuhan Metro Airport Line, including two Regen-M elevators, 20 high-efficiency Gen2 elevators and 65 XO21NP escalators.

Scheduled to begin operations later this year, the Airport Line will run between Wuhan Tianhe Airport and downtown.

Xizi Otis has so far delivered around 3,000 elevators and escalators to metro networks in more than ten major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Dalian, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Kunming, Changsha and Shenzhen.

Xizi Otis was recently selected to supply 38 elevators and escalators to the Guizhou West section of the Shanghai-Kunming Railway.

The 560km section will connect Guizhou to China’s national rail network and rely on Gen2 elevators and XO21NP escalator systems.
