Alstom has secured a €70m contract to supply 22 Citadis trams to the Syndicat des Transports d’Ile de France (STIF) for line T9 in Ile-de-France.
The delivery is a part of a larger framework contract that includes potential supply of 68 additional trams for lines T9 and T10.

Trams are scheduled to be delivered from mid-2019 onwards with expected entry to commercial service by October 2020.
Both lines T9 (10 km) and T10 (8.2 km) will serve Porte de Choisy (Paris) to Orly ville and Clamart to Antony respectively.
It is estimated that these two routes will serve 95,000 passengers a day by 2021.
Citadis X05 for line T9 is a 44m long tram capable of carrying more than 314 passengers.

The latest from the Alstom Citadis range, Citadis X05 is one the lightest trams of its generation. As a result, it is expected to be more energy-efficient and offer high levels of reliability.
The design of the new tram has been developed in partnership with Alstom and agency Design Saguez & Partners.
The passenger exchange ratio has been increased by more than 20% with eight double doors on each side.
Carrying a 100% eco-friendly design, the tram is 97% recyclable.
Seven Alstom locations in France will be involved in production of the trams, securing more than 500 jobs.
More than 2,300 Citadis trams have been sold to 55 different cities worldwide to date, including 23 French cities.
Citadis in its X05 version has already been ordered by Nice, Sydney and Caen cities.
