Manchester's Victoria railway station remains closed following a terrorist attack at the adjacent Manchester Arena, which killed 22 people and injured 64 others. 

The site around the station remains cordoned off, reported metro.co.uk.

Daily commuters have been encouraged to use the Stagecoach buses running between Stalybridge and Manchester for the time being, and several services that were due to depart from the site will either be diverted or cancelled.

Bus services are continuing to operate normally. However, some routes have been affected and are set to be diverted in order to minimise disruption during rush-hour.

"Investigations are still underway to determine the attacker's motive, and police have so far made three arrests in south Manchester in connection with the incident."

The explosion is understood to have been carried out by 22-year-old Salman Abedi at the entrance to Manchester Arena using an improvised explosive device on Monday night following an Ariana Grande concert. The youngest victim is reportedly eight years old.

Victoria station was closed following the incident, in addition to the arena itself and the surrounding area.
